Dear Arhana,
You know how 2009 has just began and like everyone else... i have a resolution!!!
it is to write about my feelings or anything i would like to write in this blog at least once a month .... of course if i write more you are lucky cause that means i have lots of stories for you... :)
So let me start writing about January... (which should be known as HOT JAN)
About 3 weeks ago, i went out for new years eve to a park for New Years which was great. A small group of us from different parts of the world spent new years eve together ushering the new year and probably giving each other hope ... that this year would be less frightening than when we first arrived in Adelaide.
I think for the rest of the week after new years , i just did what i did best which was nothing.. exercised and ate healthy for a while... it was then my life decided to take a slight detour and a friend of mine came to stay for a week at my place...
It was probably the 'busiest' week i ever had. We did so many things together...all i remember doing was getting up early... catching the bus .. getting off the bus... going to the desired destination.. and again.. catching the bus and getting off the bus.. it definitely kept me going.. as we wanted to see morialta falls which was a total disappointment... cause we walked 3 km's up to see drops of water coming from the waterfalls... and it didnt hit us.. that during summer there would be no water running from the falls.. however we did see some good stuff here at Adelaide.. we saw Henley Beach which was beautiful .. ate fish and chips at the beach .. saw Port Adelaide which was a port and went on a very scenic cruise -a dolphin cruise... where we were fortunate enough to see two dolphins.... :) - which is suppose to mean gd luck :P
Saw many many movies for the month of January .. some movies which i would recommend watching are listed below :
1. ghajini
2.bride wars
3. marley and me
4.curious case of benjamin buttons
5. slumdog millonaire
6. zakhm... old movie but really loved it..
7. twilight
The other movies were not even worth remembering.. so i wouldnt want to share my horrible experience with you...
2009 is a good year.. so only happy things will be written in the blog.. sometimes ...very seldom.. sad things will be written.. but you would need to bear with it..
lots of love.. signing off arhana.... we need to give u a new look for a new year....
radhika :)

ShoutOut To All "Help For Assignment"
Dear Arhana,
I know I have been neglecting you but in due time I shall write more often!
To my family and friends, name me an industry or an example which you think is relevant and has gone through or is going through "convergence produced by digitalisation".
I was thinking of the newspaper industry - but thats somehow complicated.. because we still get the hard copy of a newspaper although at the same time today.. we can click on a newspaper of any country to find out latest news.. isnt that part of convergence. we do not know need to get a copy of the "New York Times" to find out the latest.. all we need is a click onto the website. T
han we have online newspapers - where some have online videos and yada yada yada.. , radio streaming on online newspapers? or live commentry.. are those on newspaper sites? maybe i should do so research on it.
I think ppl in the West, get a free copy of the newspaper - wait for garbage truck on Tuesdays .. and throw it away.. without opening it and reading it.. perhaps they are relying on more accurate information online.. who knows!
any ideas? plssssss guys help me!

A Clean Room = Clean Environment
Dear Arhana Myaa Ratti - Good Evening,
What a disaster it was yesterday... and today it's sparkling clean .. no no i am not talking about the bathroom.. that's still a disaster.. ( it's like a monster got in there and wrecked it all up)
I am talking about my room!
Today i decided it's time to take the rags and the vacuum cleaner and clean clean clean! To my suprise, a chunk of dust came out.. how ironic.. to see dust coming out from "An Australian Room".
Than, i stripped my bed and took out all the linen and dumped it into the washing machine - however at that time - Adelaide has the best weather ever perfect n sunny.. than the washing stopped.. i was so eager to hang my clothes up on the line, so i hung it all up. (not like how i hang clothes back home) than as soon as i finished, closed the door behind me. it started to pour!
"TALK ABOUT PERFECT TIMING ... "
Than the rain stopped, and the sun began to shine again.. my face lit .. yeahhhh dry clothes.. another 20 mins later it rains..
But anyway, fingers crossed, the clothes will be dry tomorrow :)
And my room is spic n span :) spotless
Is anyone jealous or would like to recruit me ? I take nothing less than AUD 100 per hour.
Adios.. Arhana.. until a more "happening" story comes along...

"The Assignment"
1. What is a blog?
These are some of the definitions found from the Internet...
- website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in reverse chronological order
- website maintained by an individual
- chronological publication of personal thoughts and web links
- opinions are formed - comments are made by interested parties
2. A short "history on blogging"
http://www.blogherald.com/2005/03/06/a-short-history-of-blogging/
- Blogs were known as "web logs"
- Like the start of many things, early bloggers did not have a name of what they were doing. While it took some time and for the name to develop, it is claimed that blogging has been around since the birth of the Internet from the start of 1993.
That's pretty eerie to know people out there were blogging in the early 20Th century and some of us (including me) knew absolutely peanuts about it.
- Tim Berners Lee, the "father of the World Wide Web" posted a web page in 1992 and kept a list of all websites as they came online .
- Justin Hall created a homepage where he wrote his thoughts- like a diary ...
3. A SWOT Analysis (feedback from readers and blogger)
An example of a SWOT Analysis :
An area i would need to look into... might need to do further research n an intense on this. http://www.web-money-advices.com/index.php/swot-analysis-for-successful-blogging/2007/01/28/
4. "Signifiers "to a blog
- mobile
- my thoughts are penciled down
- interactive
- addictive
- self - identity
- sense of my achievement - to write
- the use of my journalism degree has come out to live
- transparent
- moody , happy, excited, elated - emotions say a thousand words esp from writing style
- keeping up with current technology advancement
- to see things from a different level when friends leave comments on your blog
- a social network - for family and friends
- a sense of belonging
- pink colour of femininity - it's a girl's blog
- opinions are accepted
- people who share opinions are thanked and appreciated via a personal thank you note on the blog
- convience
- learning experience
- particular about punctuation and grammer errors
